“On a Day When Buildings Fell, Heroes Rose” -President George W. Bush

As I watched the ceremony at Ground Zero and the dedication of the memorial at the Pentagon on television this morning, my heart ached and I wept for everything that September 11th will forever embody. Some are saying that we as a nation are already starting to forget what happened seven years ago. It seems so much more real to me even today than it did in 2001 though. I was still a bit naive then and didn’t really grasp the evil behind the events that were unfolding at the time. Let us never forget the innocent lives that were lost that day.

“No matter how hard we try words simply cannot express the horror, the shock, and the revulsion we all feel over what took place in this nation on Tuesday morning. September 11 will go down in our history as a day to remember.”
–Billy Graham
