Complete Lack of Class

Rappers Young Jeezy and Jay-Z perform hate-filled rap at Inaugural Ball

You don’t have to watch this whole video. Just the first couple of minutes is really all I want to talk about. It’s no secret that I’m no fan of Barack Obama. I just don’t care for the guy. It has nothing to do with race, but everything to do with his proposed policies, his liberal value system, and lack of experience. Nevertheless, I think that he’s at least got some class. Which is a lot more than what I can say for this Young Jeezy character and Jay Z. I actually think Obama would probably be ashamed of this behavior, or I’d like to hope so anyway.

I wanna thank two people
I wanna thank the motherf***** overseas that threw two shoes at George Bush.
And I wanna thank the motherf***** who helped them move their s***up out the White House.
Keep it moving bitch.
Because my President is motherf****** black, n*****.
-Young Jeezy

Never thought I’d say this s*** baby I’m good.
You can keep your p***.
I don’t want no more Bush.
No more war, no more Iraq.
No more white lies, my President is black.
-Jay-Z

Can you imagine the outrage and riots if some white celebrity made such hate-filled comments in a public arena like this? White lies? Why does everything always have to be about race? Who is racist here? Seriously? And if we want to get technical about it, their “black President” is half white too. I wonder if they hate that half of him. It is absolutely ridiculous. You’d think we’d be past all of this by now.

Watching the behaviors of celebrities over the past year, I have found many that I will never support again. I’ll not buy their albums, see their concerts, or watch their movies. Celebrities that I have admired for years because of their talent will never get another dime of my money because of the way they have treated President Bush and/or other conservatives.

I’m not very familiar with Young Jeezy so I’m not sure if I like any of his music or not. I used to like some of Jay-Z’s music. I know he has millions and won’t miss my money, but it doesn’t matter. He’ll not get another penny of it. That goes for his wife too. Its a shame. I really liked her a lot.

Thank You President Bush

President Bush

There were some good days, and there were some tough days. But every day was an honor to be your President. I gave it my all. Sometimes what I did wasn’t popular, but that’s OK. I always did what I thought was right. -George W Bush

I absolutely adore President Bush and I make zero apologies about that. I firmly believe he is a good man with a good heart. He is a God-fearing man who sought to do what was honorable and to protect this country that he loves. He always did what he thought was right, no matter how unpopular it might have been. He has been viciously and unfairly diminished, demoralized, and demonized while he graciously endured and ignored the animosity from the people he fought to protect. He wasn’t concerned with his own exaltation or power, but rather the oath he had taken, this safety of the nation and our well-being. I hope and pray that years from now history will be kind to him.

I am heartbroken to see President Bush leaving Washington DC and will miss him. I will also miss Mrs. Bush, who always exudes nothing but grace and class. However, for their sakes, I am glad they they will finally get a well-deserved day of rest out of the spotlight. God Bless you, President Bush. Thank you for the last 8 years.

Mr President, On the darkest day, you gave us hope when we were hopeless. You were unafraid when we were terrified. You lead when nobody else wanted to. Mr President, you don’t have any idea what you meant to me personally and my family right after 9/11. Job well done, good and faithful servant. Thanks! -Glenn Beck

Gunpowder and Lead

Current Mood:determined emoticon determined

I have decided that I want a gun… a small handgun. And I want to learn how to shoot it properly. And I want a permit to carry it if I choose to. Not that I’ll carry it every day or that I’ll even carry it at all, but I want to be able to carry it if I wanted to. Am I a big rough, deer-hunting, redneck? No. If you’ve met me, you know I’m not. I’m not violent and don’t condone violence, however I’d like to keep a gun at home for protection and to go shoot for fun if I choose to.

I grew up around guns. They weren’t sitting around our house for someone to pick up and play with or anything, but rather they were kept locked up in a gun cabinet. My father was and avid hunter and often kept a handgun in his car for protection. He sometimes practiced shooting in our back yard. We lived out in the country. Our driveway went on for half a mile past where the paved road ended, so there wasn’t any danger of him accidentally shooting anyone. Anyway. I can only recall shooting a gun once in my life. My dad let me shoot one of his. I was young and it nearly knocked me down. I’d like to think that I could better handle the power of one now. We’ll see.

There’s a gun show coming to Chattanooga next month and I plan on going. I don’t much about guns. I don’t know enough to even know what kind of gun I’d like, but I do have a good friend who has offered to show me the ropes. I’m hoping I can save up a little extra cash to get myself a gun at that show. One of my other friends told me she just got a pink pistol at a gun show last week. That’s right up my ally. The way I see it, I better get one while I still have the chance to do so. Looks like a lot of other people are stocking up before January 20th too.
